Noah's Ark Workshop, Inc. ("Company", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information in our AI psychological coaching app "Towa" (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

• Email address, nickname
• Gender, age, language, region preferences
• Apple ID / Google account identifiers
• Chat history with AI
• Personality assessment responses (BFI-2, ECR-R) and results
• Attachment style and subtype classifications
• Credit usage and purchase history
• Service usage logs, time spent, in-app behavior
• Device info, OS, app version, IP address
• Push notification tokens

2. Special Treatment of Psychological Information

• Conversation content is encrypted at rest
• Employee access is restricted to business necessity
• Disclosure to third parties only with explicit consent or legal requirement
• Anonymized data may be used for service improvement and research

3. Purpose of Use

• Service provision (AI response generation, personalization)
• Customer support
• Fraud prevention
• Service improvement and quality analysis
• Anonymized statistics for publication
• Academic research (only with prior consent, anonymized)

4. Service Providers (Sub-processors)

We share data with the following service providers to operate the Service:

• Anthropic, PBC (USA): AI response generation
• Supabase (USA): Database, authentication
• Apple Inc. (USA): iOS app distribution, payments
• Google LLC (USA): Android app distribution, payments
• Expo Inc. (USA): Push notifications, app builds

These providers maintain appropriate data protection measures and process information only for specified purposes.

5. International Data Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred outside Japan (primarily to the USA) depending on service provider locations. We ensure transferees comply with applicable data protection laws.

6. California Residents (CCPA)

Under California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the following rights:

• Right to know about personal information collected
• Right to deletion of personal information
• Right to opt-out of sale or sharing (we do not sell)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights

7. Security Measures

• Technical: encryption, access control, log monitoring, Row Level Security
• Organizational: employee training, designated officer
• Physical: data center security
• Personnel: confidentiality obligations

8. Retention Period

• After account closure: deleted within 6 months (except legally required retention)
• Conversation history: deleted promptly after closure
• Payment records: retained for 7 years (legal requirement)

9. Access, Correction, Deletion Rights

10. In-App Tracking

We collect in-app behavioral data for usage analytics. On iOS, we follow App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and request consent when needed.

11. Minors

The Service is for users 18 and older. Users under 18 are not permitted.

12. AI Processing

The Service uses AI to generate responses. Your input is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. According to Anthropic's Privacy Policy, content sent by us is not used to train Anthropic's models.

13. Changes to Policy

This Policy may be updated to reflect legal or service changes. Updates take effect upon publication.
